BigLick,

OK, here is something I had to learn the hard way. Sex is just sex and it is ok to be selfish about sex. People are not going to be hurt simply because you are having sex.

Here is how I go about dating.

1) It is just a date.
2) I do not expect sex. If sex comes along I take it.
3) I never force sex.
4) If things go well, then I go with it.

I keep that up until it is either not going to work any more or I find the right one. You have to try a lot of women people to find the right one. You have to learn that if you hurt someone because they mistake what you offer for something that it is not, you are not to blame, and that person was not the one for you after all.

I know that sounds a bit rough, but you have to take care of number one (you) first. This includes the search for a partner and your need for sex.

I say, if sex comes along, take it, you never know where it may lead. Be a horn dog, but be a nice horn dog. Sex it good, for both of you, enjoy it and don't worry about if the other person is implying a commitment, you are not, and it would be a bad assumption on their fault to make that assumption. At worst, THEY learn a lesson.

Be Strong.

JB - It sounds to me like you would settle for something that makes you feel good at the moment. Not that it is wrong, but why not want more? I know that at 'your ripe old age of forty' (give me a break) you don't know what is in store for the rest of your life, but everyone deserves to have someone in their life that makes their knees weak and the blood pressure rise. Someone that makes them lose all track of time. That is the type of love I want in my life and I don't think I should have to settle for less than that this time!

SinCity ... When did I ever say I did want any of "Weak in the Knees", "Blood Pumping", and "Loosing Time" love? I put that squarely in passion. And as far as I am concerned, I have that now too. Is that the type of love you have in your life right now?

JB - that type of love comes with time and getting to know each other. I have a very special type of love in my life right now. If in times it becomes that passion (as you put it) great....if not it will because it was not meant to be. I cannot honestly say right now if he is the one I will spend the rest of my life with because I do not honestly know.....
