A TrackBack is a way for websites to talk to each other. Say a person on website A (the blogger) wants someone on website B to know something, you set a TrackBack ping and that let the other website know there is something there to look at. Simple.

Blogger: In the system that I have set up there is no real differences between "Quick Save" and "Submit". The reason being that I have the system not set to moderate posts, so therefore the two are effectively the same.

The preview of course is a preview and does not save the post.

For a post not to post, the submission through the "Quick Save" or the "Submit" would have had to have failed at the time of posting. If a malformed submission is sent it is ignored as possible hacking. In these rare cases, submit it again by going back to the publish page (Back on browser) and submit again, or copy it somewhere to save local till the issue is solved. This is the only thing I can think of why a post would fail.

BigLick ... You had mentioned that you were having problems with the internet at the time, I can see where this would or could cause a problem in posting.

I hate to say it, but yeah, maybe it is your computer. After all... If Katey can figure it out (how to post) anyone can... Try it again, it should work fine.
